Therapy with Meagan

I began working as a Registered Counselling Therapist after graduating with a M.Ed in Counselling from Acadia University in 2020. My practice has prioritized working with folks who have complex and/or intergenerational trauma, experiences of sexualized violence & intimate partner violence, as well as racial trauma and discrimination.

I support folks who are experiencing symptoms of adversities that may include anger, chronic stress, grief, emotional dysregulation, substance misuse, suicidal ideation and/or self-harm. Clients I typically support may also have a diagnosis of anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, personality disorders, and concurrent physical health issues. I practice from an attachment based orientation where our relationships with ourselves and others are cornerstones of our well-being. I utilize Internal Family Systems and parts work with clients to increase understanding & compassion towards ourselves, and our responses. I am a yoga teacher and I integrate this knowledge to support client's ability to connect with their internal responses & move towards greater harmony within the body.

A brief overview of my qualifications are listed below. Please reach out for a no-fee consultation if you are interested in learning more meagan@therapywithmeagan.ca
